But they did not charge extra fees for more works and they managed to get DA approval with in eight weeks. we are pleased to use their service for the Project Management as they are very nice and honest. I engaged Grant to design a boarding house development in Sydney for me. I was totally satisfied with the outcome. Grant fully understood my goal of maximising return on investment by designing a high-performance building. The outcome was nine modern studio apartments, each with their own kitchen and bathroom, all on a small site of less than 600m2. Grant's expertise and innovative approach resulted in a layout that maximised rentable area. The building also has excellent thermal and acoustic performance resulting in lower energy costs and increased comfort for the tenants ensuring they are happy to stay long term, which is great for rental return. The project faced numerous challenges, including the need for superior soundproofing and strict compliance with council regulations, which are notoriously stringent for boarding houses. Grant's collaboration with the council and engineers ensured a smooth process from design to approval. He not only designed a new type of boarding house, having to navigate new NSW regulations, but he also assisted us in evaluating the location and determining the optimum type of investment to maximise the value of our land. His advice on which building styles would provide the highest return on investment was extremely useful. The boarding house even received commendation from the counsellors at the council development approval meeting, and it was deemed as 'an excellent design and just what the area needed' to solve the housing crisis. Grant managed the entire projects, from early concept, design and plans, to final built. His remarkable attention to detail, good communication, and dedication to staying within budget made the process simple and stress-free.
